M1
Q1. Does the M1 include the M1's sequencer function?
A1. The M1 Software synthesizer does not have a sequencer function, but does feature a Multi mode that is 8-part multitimbral.

WAVESTATION
Q2. Is the WAVESTATION multi-timbral?
A2. The WAVESTATION is not multi-timbral. However when used as a plug-in, you can start up a separate instance of the WAVESTATION for each MIDI track you are using, and use it as though it were multi-timbral.

Q3. Does the WAVESTATION have the audio input functionality that was featured on the WAVESTATION AD?
A3. No, audio signals cannot be input to the WAVESTATION.

Q4. What are the differences between WAVESTATION v1.1 and v1.5?
A4. Enhanced functions of WAVESTATION v1.5 include:
  • Data from 6 of the optional PCM/Program cards, which provide over 250 new PCM waveforms, over 250 Performances, over 250 Programs and over 150 wave sequences.
  • An increase of the maximum polyphony from 32 to 256 voices.
  • Support for the RTAS plug-in format.

MDE-X
Q5. What is the difference between MDE-X v1.1 and v1.2?
A5. MDE-X v1.2 supports RTAS plug-in format.

Polysix
Q6. I have some program data stored on tape from the original Polysix; is there a way to load this?
A6. Unfortunately, there is no way to load this with the current version.

MS-20 Controller
Q7. I'd like to use the MS-20 Controller to create an MS-20 sound from scratch; is there a way to reset the MS-20 to match the position of the MS-20 Controller's knobs?
A7. Yes. Turn the MS-20 Controller's "VOLUME" knob all the way to the left to switch the power off. Then turn the knob toward the right to switch on the power; all parameter settings including the state of the MS-20 Controller's patching will be transmitted to the MS-20.

Q8. Can I use the MS-20 Controller even when using the MS-20 as a plug-in?
A8. Yes you can, and of course you can also use it to control the MS-20FX. However in this case, the LEDs of the MS-20 Controller will not light.
MIDI keyboard settings will depend on your host application, so please refer to the owner's manual for your host application.

Q9. Can audio signals be input into the patch panel jacks of the MS-20 Controller?
A9. No, the MS-20 Controller does not have audio input/output functionality. Do not attempt to input audio signals to the MS-20 Controller's patch panel jacks; doing so will cause malfunctions.

Q10. Can the MS-20 Controller be used as a USB MIDI controller keyboard for software synthesizers made by other companies?
A10. Yes, it can. Fixed MIDI control change numbers are assigned to the knobs of MS-20 Controller when shipped. Change the MIDI control change number assigned to the parameter of the software synthesizer you want to control. If the software synthesizer has Learn function, it would be quite easier to change the MIDI control change number of the software synthesizer.

Q11. Can I use KORG Legacy Collection and Virtual MS-20 software without connecting MS-20 Controller to my computer?
A11. Yes.
